The OpportunityWe are seeking a highly skilled Water Resources Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our water resources group, you will be responsible for performing urban water, sanitary, and drainage system modeling, including data management, model setup, and calibration. You will also lead the development of infrastructure servicing plans for subdivisions, neighborhoods, and city-wide areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform hydrological and hydraulic modeling and lead the development of Integrated Stormwater Management Plans and Flood Management Plans;
- Develop rainwater source control LID concepts and assist in LID designs;
- Lead technical analysis in support of Civil engineering design associated with municipal water, sanitary sewer, drainage conveyance works, and hydraulic structures;
- Prepare construction cost estimates, implementation plans, and operation and maintenance manuals;
- Write and review technical memorandums and reports.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of related experience;
- Eligibility for Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation;
- Experience in hydrological and hydraulic analysis and modeling using various techniques and modeling software;
- Experience in infrastructure master planning and flood management planning;
- Proficiency in using Excel, Word, AutoCAD, Civil3D, ArcGIS, or QGIS and other computer programs used for preparing reports, presentations, and designs;
- Experience in project management;
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills;
- Comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary environment.
