Position Overview
The Communications and Connections team is seeking a Manager of Corporate Content to spearhead the development and execution of executive communication strategies and content creation that align with the business objectives and overall communication framework of Explore Edmonton Corporation. Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Communications and Connections, this role will collaborate closely with the team to bolster Explore Edmonton's corporate image and ensure that all executive communications—ranging from speeches and presentations to social media content and corporate reports—are consistent with the corporate brand and tailored to meet the needs of various audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement Explore Edmonton's corporate communication strategy by crafting engaging, on-brand executive presentations and reports aimed at key stakeholders including tourism industry partners, community leaders, and employees.
- Maintain and refine corporate presentation templates and key messaging documents, ensuring high-quality and consistent output.
- Curate and organize corporate materials for streamlined access and use.
- Act as the primary liaison with the brand production team to oversee the creation of corporate plans, presentations, and reports, including annual and performance reports.
- Develop social media and communication strategies to maximize the impact of executive and corporate channels, promoting significant corporate assets such as venues and major events.
- Generate content for executive social media platforms, ensuring alignment with corporate messaging.
- Collaborate with communications colleagues to synchronize executive online content with broader corporate and consumer messaging.
- Manage social media interactions and foster community engagement.
- Analyze social media metrics to assess content effectiveness and trends.
- Assist in monitoring executive social media for emerging issues and collaborate with the team to address them.
- Recommend and implement strategies based on data analysis and reporting.
- Work collaboratively with team members and other departments on initiatives and strategic planning.
- Support the development of internal communication channels to enhance employee engagement.
- Contribute to the enhancement and protection of Explore Edmonton's corporate brand.
- Drive cohesive messaging and storytelling across the organization and digital platforms.
- Foster a culture of strong leadership and engagement within the team.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in corporate communications.
- Dynamic communication professional with expertise in executive-level social media and presentation development.
- Strong executive presence and presentation skills, with the ability to handle sensitive content and adapt quickly to feedback.
- Proficient in summarizing complex information into engaging content.
- Understanding of various social media platforms and their strategic use.
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience collaborating within a matrix organization.
