**About the Position**

We are seeking dynamic, seasoned, and dedicated communicators who aspire to make a significant impact in the field of medicine. As a Strategic Communications and Engagement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing comprehensive integrated initiatives, working collaboratively in a vibrant environment with both internal and external partners. This position will report directly to the Country Head of Communication and Engagement at Novartis Canada and will closely collaborate with cross-functional teams across various Therapy Areas.

**Key Responsibilities:**
  • Serve as a strategic ally to the organization, crafting and facilitating the execution of communication and patient advocacy strategies with a holistic approach.
  • Foster relationships with pertinent patient organizations to enhance patient engagement.
  • Spearhead data-driven integrated communication efforts for disease awareness and activation campaigns, as well as media milestones.
  • Oversee issue management for the therapy area business partner.
  • Ensure the impeccable execution of communication and patient advocacy plans, maintaining cross-functional alignment, including management of budget and resources.
  • Supervise public relations agencies and other external partners to maximize return on investment, operational excellence, and business outcomes.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
  • Master’s degree or equivalent university diploma; a minimum of 10 years of experience in Communications/Patient Advocacy.
  • Proven strategic thinking capabilities along with strong operational management and execution skills.
  • Excellent collaborative mindset with the ability to manage intricate projects within cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated resilience and adaptability, coupled with strong leadership, collaboration, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-starter with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is an asset, along with experience in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Familiarity with the Objectives, Goals, Strategies, and Measures (OGSM) framework for strategic planning and measurable outcomes.
