Canadian Plains is seeking a skilled Pipefitter Specialist to join our team. As a Pipefitter Specialist, you will be responsible for laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for various industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities- Complete field measurements and provide drawings to welders for pipe installation projects.
- Read, interpret, and red-line construction drawings and blueprints, including Isometrics and P&IDs.
- Assemble piping and valves, ensuring proper connections and fittings.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff members, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Hydrotest, assemble, and install pipe spools in the fabrication facility, adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Measure, cut, and thread pipe to required specifications, ensuring precise fits and connections.
- Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems, ensuring efficient and safe operation.
- Remove and replace worn components, and reactivate systems, minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal performance.
- Must possess a valid Journeyperson Pipefitter ticket issued by the appropriate provincial or federal authority.
- Must possess valid H2S Alive and Standard First Aid tickets.
- Must possess a valid, non-graduated driver's license.
- Must successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
- Must be willing to travel to client sites, as required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Developed analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and understand drawings and blueprints.
As a Pipefitter Specialist with Canadian Plains, you will work in a fast-paced industrial environment, requiring attention to detail, physical stamina, and excellent communication skills.
