JBS Food Canada ULC is a leading beef processor with a strong presence in Canada. Our Brooks, Alberta facility is a state-of-the-art production site that requires a skilled Automation Technician to join our team.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Automation Technician to assist in the maintenance and repair of electronics, including metal detectors, weighing scales, and production data collection devices. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of technical manuals, calibration procedures, and troubleshooting techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of electronics, including metal detectors, weighing scales, and production data collection devices
  • Calibrate and service equipment as required
  • Install and terminate data communication cables
  • Install and maintain CCTV cameras
  • Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot instruments

Requirements

  • Minimum Grade 12 diploma supplemented by post-secondary education
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills and demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • Minimum 1 year of Automation technician experience
