Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee multiple large-scale audits during our busy season from October to March.
  2. Act as the primary contact for a diverse range of clients, taking on the responsibilities of client relationship partner for an established portfolio.
  3. Expand your local and international client network through strategic promotion and networking opportunities.
  4. Gain exposure to various industries, including renewable energy, mining, and manufacturing, with audit engagements ranging from $6 million to $110 million in revenue.
  5. Plan and execute audits in accordance with Canadian and International Auditing standards for several Canadian subsidiaries reporting under ASPE and IFRS.
  6. Collaborate with Group Auditors from our international affiliations, including major multinational firms.
  7. Prepare reports on financial information adhering to various accounting standards such as German GAAP, Korean IFRS, and Italian GAAP.
  8. Engage with clients across Ontario and Canada.
  9. Utilize a variety of client accounting systems, including SAP, AS400, QuickBooks Online, and custom solutions.
  10. Supervise the consulting and tax requirements of local business owners and high-net-worth individuals.

Key Requirements

  • Applicants must hold a CPA and possess a minimum of 8 years of public accounting and audit experience, or equivalent experience from alternative career paths.
  • A Public Accounting License or the qualifications to obtain one is essential.
  • Relevant experience, the ability to meet deadlines, and a professional approach to career development will be critical in our selection process.
  • A willingness to lead a team of staff and students is vital for success in this position.
  • Our firm employs Tax Prep, CCH Engagement, and QuickBooks as primary tools.
