At Standard Aero, we're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Aviation Financial Controller to join our team. As a key member of our Helicopter business unit, you'll play a critical role in driving financial success and supporting our mission to deliver exceptional MRO services and customized solutions in the aerospace field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate day-to-day financial operations, including reviewing and reporting significant operational/financial variances
  • Participate in the creation of the annual operating plan for the business unit, planning expenses and working capital
  • Prepare monthly finance control panels, consisting of sales, GM, expense, and TWC variance analysis
  • Provide financial and business guidance to other functional groups within the business unit
  • Manage business unit p-card review and approval process
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors for the completion of the annual audit
  • Monitor and administer company financial policies and procedures
  • Lead/participate in special projects
Requirements:
  • High degree of business acumen and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize work
  • Team player who thrives in an ever-challenging environment
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience building and interpreting intermediate to complex financial models
  • Recognized accounting designation (CA, CMA, or CGA) or close to achieving a designation
Preferred Characteristics:
  • 3-8 years of experience, including review of reconciliations, month-end, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Degree/diploma in business administration, commerce, economics, or related field
