Key Responsibilities

As a Baker at COBS Bread, your duties will include:

  • Collaborating with a small team to bake each morning, adhering to precise recipes.
  • Reading production schedules and recipes, measuring and mixing ingredients, shaping dough, and operating ovens.
  • Maintaining cleanliness in the bakery and contributing to an excellent customer experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • A positive demeanor and strong organizational skills.
  • Individuals who take pride in their work and proactively seek tasks.
  • A demonstrated commitment to the bakery's success and personal development.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout shifts.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of items up to 22 kg.
  • Regular turning and reaching movements.
  • Occasional pushing, pulling, and bending.
  • Capability to lift at least 2.5 kg to a height of 1.7 meters.
  • Consistent use of both hands, with frequent wrist rotation and flexing, and occasional gripping.

COBS Bread is part of Bakers Delight, an Australian-owned company established in 1980, operating as Bakers Delight in Australia and New Zealand, and as COBS Bread in Canada and the USA.
