About the RoleThe Senior Manager, Engineering will be responsible for:
- Leading the development and implementation of our risk platform
- Ensuring the platform aligns with regulatory and audit requirements
- Managing and executing group-wide strategic deliveries for cloud, scalability, and technology simplification
- Collaborating with business partners across trading, finance, and risk management
The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in computer science, engineering, or mathematics, and a minimum of 10 years of experience as a software engineer working on large-scale development projects. They will also have 3-4 years of team management experience and be able to lead, inspire, and motivate a diverse team.
Requirements- BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent work experience
- Strong knowledge of core Java and Spring boot
- Deep understanding and experience with cloud migrations and transformations
- Working experience with various DB solutions such as Cassandra, IDLS, HBASE, and SQL Server
- Experience working with Spark, Hadoop, and REST services
- Experience working with scalable and low-latency systems
- Strong understanding of risk and financial products
- Knowledge and experience with Scala is a plus
- Experience working on big data sets with bi-temporal support
- Working knowledge on middleware (Kafka, Solace, IBM MQ, Apache Active MQ)
