We are seeking a skilled Industrial Meat Cutter to join our team at Family Meats 2018 Ltd. as a Meat Processing Specialist.
Key Responsibilities- Slaughter livestock and remove viscera and other inedible parts from carcasses in a safe and efficient manner.
- Cut beef, lamb, pork or veal carcasses or sides or quarters of carcasses into primal cuts for further cutting, processing or packaging.
- Cut meat and poultry into specific cuts for institutional, commercial or other wholesale use.
- Remove bones from meat and prepare it for further processing or packaging.
- Train and supervise junior meat cutters to ensure high-quality cuts and efficient production.
- Clean and maintain equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in meat cutting and processing.
- Ability to work in a cold/refrigerated environment and stand for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail to ensure high-quality cuts.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and lift heavy objects.
- Knowledge of meat cutting techniques and equipment.
