Join our Assurance & Accounting team as a Financial Accounting Technician. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the compilation, review, audit, bookkeeping, and tax engagements
  • Prepare and manage government remittances/filings, accounts receivable, expenses, accounts payable, and payroll transactions
  • Establish client files, assist in budget completion, and execute administrative planning
  • Conduct the month-end and quarter-end closing processes
  • Oversee, monitor, and reconcile general ledger accounts including cash, bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, accounts receivable, accounts payable, accrued liabilities, intercompany, and point of sale (POS)/system uploads
  • Identify discrepancies and issues, investigate inconsistencies, and collaborate with managers or engagement partners to formulate solutions
  • Engage with government entities regarding information requests, assessments, and installments
  • Collaborate effectively with the client engagement team
  • Maintain the flexibility to travel as required

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Accounting certificate or bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration (accounting or finance major is an asset)
  • Entry-level to 2 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Experience in preparing T4s and T5s, along with knowledge of personal and corporate tax, is preferred
  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles and processes is advantageous
  • Experience with accounting and tax software is considered beneficial
