Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Control Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the movement of supplies and materials between departments, planning and organizing operational logistics, and preparing reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compile and Organize orders and instructions received from customers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Coordinate tasks and activities with other work units or departments to achieve project goals.
  • Plan and Organize operational logistics, including supply chain management and inventory control.
  • Monitor the movement of supplies and materials between departments, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Prepare and Submit reports on project progress, including financial and operational metrics.
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance.
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Coordinate activities with warehouse and production units, ensuring seamless integration and efficient operations.
  • Prepare and Maintain progress and other reports, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Project Management skills are essential for this role, with a focus on delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in a relevant field, such as business administration or logistics.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in MS Office and project management software, with excellent internet skills.
  • Area of Work Experience: Quality assurance or control, with a focus on supply chain management and inventory control.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and attention to detail.
  • Own Tools/Equipment: Computer and other necessary tools for the job.
  • Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, and organized.
