We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care to complex patient populations, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide quality nursing care to patients with complex needs, including triaging, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Manage multiple nursing interventions simultaneously, prioritizing patient needs and responding to emergencies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BCLS).
- Recent experience in Emergency Nursing, with a focus on complex patient populations.
- Ability to use the Nursing Process to deliver individualized care planning and delivery.
- Strong interprofessional and communication skills.
- Central Venous Line Management certification.
- Lead II Arrhythmia Interpretation Program certification.
- Certification in Emergency Nursing, TNCC, PALS, ENC(C), and ACLS.
- Recent continuing education in Emergency Nursing.
- SADV training.
