The Cloud-Based Platform Developer will be responsible for designing and developing a cloud-based platform to drive the development of Ford's global Release & Update capability across millions of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop a cloud-based platform to support Ford's global Release & Update capability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive consistency of purpose in a complex organization
  • Develop strong collaboration skills to deliver technical initiatives and turn concepts into functioning code
  • Work with cloud software engineering or embedded systems in associated industries
  • Develop and maintain APIs using back-end technologies such as Go or Python
  • Work with relational and/or NoSql databases, database design, and SQL Queries

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or Software Engineering or related field of study
  • 3+ years developing APIs using back-end technologies
  • 3+ years working with relational and/or NoSql databases

Preferred Requirements:

  • Masters degree
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with embedded build
  • CI experience with GitHub Actions or Jenkins
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies
  • Understanding of security best practices in web development
  • SaaS development experience
  • Demonstrated time in role working in a multi-disciplined organization focused on delivering development efficiency
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Critical Thinking: Demonstrated examples of applying systemic thinking, logic, and reasoning skills
  • Organizational skill: Strong collaboration skills, clear and concise direction
  • Experience with SBOM
