About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Event Operations Director to lead our event services team at Rogers Place. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing events that exceed client expectations and deliver the highest standard of service and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the event services team, including event managers, coordinators, and part-time staff
  • Lead and/or assist with planning and execution of events, including concerts, sporting events, and public and private events
  • Drive team performance to achieve efficient operations and encourage an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for the entire event lifecycle
  • Supervise the development of event operating budgets and manage expenditures throughout the fiscal year
  • Assign team members to events across Rogers Place and schedule and direct OEG and Rogers Place Event Production meetings
  • Develop effective working relationships with local regulatory agencies
  • Provide expertise and guidance on event planning and implementation
  • Develop and implement a full-cycle event reporting process using technology and analytics
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5-10 years of experience managing events in a large public assembly facility, preferably in sports and entertainment
  • Supervisory and management experience with full-time roles and direct reports
  • Experience working in a hospitality environment and large-scale event production
  • Proven ability to work within mandated budgets and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and dedication to leading and delivering internal and external service excellence
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Project, and event management software
