Job Title: Senior Track Engineer

At The Engineering Institute of Canada, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Track Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will play a critical role in directing project design and construction plan production on large design-build transportation assignments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, schedule, conduct, or coordinate track design for total projects of moderate to large scope.
  • Perform preliminary engineering design and/or review the design and drafting work of engineers, designers, and drafters.
  • Monitor and manage track design activities in accordance with established scope, schedules, and budgets.
  • Prepare or oversee the preparation of final plans and reports and submit them for approval.
  • Work with contractors and Arcadis internal staff members to effectively identify cost-effective track solutions.
  • Coordinate work with other engineers and professionals within and outside own discipline, and with support services staff.
  • May perform such other duties as the supervisor may deem from time to time as necessary.
  • Ability to assist with strategy development on growth initiatives both in Freight and Transit.
Requirements:
  • Design Build expertise is critical, and you must have a thorough understanding of construction methods and the manner in which engineering drawings and specifications are translated into the constructed product.
  • You will work closely with project leadership and other key disciplines.
  • Must uphold engineering ethics and standards of conduct.
