Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will play a crucial part in leading, managing, and developing our Accommodation team to ensure that our lodgings are impeccably prepared for guests. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the recruitment, management, and development of the Accommodation team
  • Ensuring that guest lodgings are ready for arrivals to the highest standards and aiding Team Leaders in resolving guest concerns effectively
  • Collaborating with the Accommodation Manager and other park managers to provide an exceptional guest experience
  • Overseeing maintenance tasks, ensuring cleaning supplies are adequate, and that the team has the necessary tools and resources
  • Promoting and enforcing Health and Safety policies to guarantee the safety of both team members and guests
  • Acting as the Accommodation Manager in their absence, taking on full responsibility for the accommodation department
  • Being hands-on when necessary, including tasks such as changing linens and general cleaning

Essential Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will excel in team management and motivation, demonstrating the following qualifications:

  • Strong educational background
  • Proven experience in team management
  • Familiarity with housekeeping or cleaning standards
  • Ability to handle performance issues and conflicts with confidence and empathy
  • Excellent communication skills, adaptable to various audiences
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Proactive mindset with decision-making capabilities under pressure
  • Friendly demeanor with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service

Desirable Qualifications

While not mandatory, having an NVQ in hospitality, customer service, or tourism, along with experience in a similar role within a holiday park, would be advantageous.
