As a Senior Investigator, you will play a critical role in conducting money laundering (ML) and/or terrorist financing (TF) investigations, ensuring the integrity of our financial systems and protecting our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough investigations of suspicious transactions, identifying potential ML/TF activity and gathering evidence to support findings.
- Develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies to prevent ML/TF activity, working closely with internal partners to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and investigate high-risk clients, including politically exposed persons (PEPs) and sanctions.
- Prepare and deliver investigative results to stakeholders, providing clear and concise recommendations for risk mitigation and compliance.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and regulatory requirements, applying expertise to inform investigative strategies and risk assessments.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in AML and/or risk disciplines, with a strong understanding of financial transactions and technology.
- Demonstrated expertise in ML/TF investigations, with a proven track record of identifying and mitigating risk.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment in complex situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) designation is an asset.
