About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer II to join our Strategic Sourcing team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and deploying changes to critical sourcing systems, ensuring high uptime and scalability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable, maintainable, and high uptime systems
  • Work effectively with non-tech stakeholders to gather requirements, identify risks, and translate business use cases to technical requirements
  • Think big and invent to come up with high-impact, low-churn solutions to difficult problems
  • Deliver results to ensure committed timelines are met despite blockers
Requirements
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Experience building complex, scalable, high-performance software systems
About the Team

We are a part of the Strategic Sourcing org, where we design, build, and maintain large-scale systems to improve Amazon's inbound supply chain. Our team owns systems that collectively define what are a vendor's inbound supply chain capabilities and limitations.

We surface vendor capability information to large-scale Amazon ordering, simulations, and planning systems to enable better inbound/inventory planning across Amazon.
