The Clinical Dietitian plays a vital role in providing high-quality nutrition services to clients and communities in Southern Health-Santé Sud. As a key member of the health care team, this position requires a strong foundation in nutrition and dietetics, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, managing, and supporting clients with nutrition-related needs. This will involve applying nutrition and dietetic theory, key knowledge, and critical thinking skills to improve health outcomes.
The Clinical Dietitian will work collaboratively with other health care professionals to develop and implement effective nutrition plans. This will require strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition Sciences or a related field, as well as active registration with the College of Dietitians of Manitoba. Membership with Dietitians of Canada is also recommended.
The successful candidate will be required to complete a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check, and Child Abuse Registry Check, as well as maintain a valid Class 5 driver's license and liability insurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and manage clients with nutrition-related needs
- Develop and implement effective nutrition plans
- Collaborate with other health care professionals to improve health outcomes
- Provide education and support to clients and families
- Stay up-to-date with the latest nutrition research and best practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition Sciences or a related field
- Active registration with the College of Dietitians of Manitoba
- Membership with Dietitians of Canada (recommended)
- Minimum of two years' experience as a Dietitian or in a nutrition-related profession
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in a fast-paced health care environment
- May require working irregular hours, including evenings and weekends
- May require travel to various locations within Southern Health-Santé Sud
