We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at CuppaJoe Coffee Roasters.

Job Summary

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our coffee shop, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards, and supervising a team of staff members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain a well-stocked inventory
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring efficient service and high-quality products
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates to ensure financial efficiency
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions
  • Prepare and submit reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement
  • Supervise and check the delivery of food trolleys to ensure timely and efficient service
  • Establish work schedules to ensure adequate staffing and minimize labor costs
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
