About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Tor Can ICI Roofing Inc. as a Fabrication Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, and ensuring that welds meet standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welding and Fabrication
    • Interpret welding process specifications and blueprints
    • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, including arc welding machines and spot welding machines
    • Examine welds and ensure they meet standards and specifications
  • Metal Shaping and Bending
    • Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines
    • Fabricate or repair metal parts and products using previously set-up welding machines
  • Equipment Maintenance
    • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field
  • Physical Demands
    • Standing for extended periods
    • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
    • Ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
