Qualifications- Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year in a supervisory role within the food service industry.
This position is based in a fast-paced coffee shop setting, where the ability to work under pressure is essential.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to meet work schedules effectively.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff involved in food preparation and portioning.
- Conduct training for staff on job responsibilities, sanitation, and safety protocols.
- Estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
- Recruit and hire food service personnel.
- Ensure compliance with quality control standards for food and service.
- Prepare budget forecasts and cost estimates for operations.
- Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste management.
- Compile and submit operational reports as required.
- Prepare food order summaries for the chef.
- Oversee the assembly of food trays and the delivery of food trolleys.
- Establish and manage work schedules for the team.
This role involves supervising a team of approximately 3-4 individuals.
Physical and Personal Requirements- Ability to thrive in a physically demanding environment.
- Flexibility and a strong client focus are essential.
- Excellent oral communication skills are required.
- Free parking is available for employees.
- This is a permanent position.
- Work hours range from 32 to 40 hours per week.
- The primary language of work is English.
