At Porter Airlines, we offer a fulfilling career opportunity for an Aircraft Engineer.
We are seeking Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers with expertise in Dash-8/Embraer E Jet Type Ratings and Heavy Turboprop or other transport category aircraft Type Ratings. Successful candidates will be eligible for a one-time signing bonus.
Additionally, we provide Relocation Assistance for candidates who meet the criteria.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct sheet metal repairs, including part fabrication, assembly, and installation both on-wing and in-shop.
- Perform damage assessments, including documentation for submission.
- Collaborate with DeHavilland and Embraer for repair requests.
- Complete and sign necessary paperwork, including work cards and journey log books.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Mentor new structures technicians.
- Coordinate with Planning for structural repairs.
- Liaise with Bombardier In-Service Engineering and Technical Help Desk for repair drawings.
- Recommend amendments to repair drawings as necessary.
- Develop and maintain a damage tracking system for quick reference.
- Communicate with third-party structural repair companies as needed.
- Review Bombardier Service Bulletins and implement changes as required.
- Actively engage in the Safety Management System, reporting hazards and incidents.
- Ensure compliance with Airport Security Clearance and other required certifications.
- Support AOG structural repairs as necessary.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of structural repair experience in aviation.
- Valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineers license, Category S.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the SRM.
- High degree of accuracy and strong analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Willingness to travel internationally on short notice.
