About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Firmware Developer to join our team at Untether AI. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in the development of firmware for our next-generation AI products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with hardware designers and runtime software teams to create firmware solutions for initialization, management, and debugging of AI accelerators.
  • Design and develop high-performance, reliable, and multi-threaded firmware programs using C/C++.
  • Work closely with the runtime team to verify the functionality provided to host device drivers.
  • Participate in the initial bring-up and validation of silicon.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering, software engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in firmware development for embedded processors and near real-time systems.
  • Strong C/C++ programming and debugging skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adept in creating high-performance, reliable, multi-threaded programs.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Experience in writing low-level code to interact with hardware peripherals.
  • Experience with PCIe hardware and drivers.
  • Experience with debug tools such as JTAG and gdb.
  • Familiarity with RISC-V processor architecture and tool chains.
  • Experience with real-time executives such as FreeRTOS or Zephyr.
  • Familiarity with instruction set simulators such as QEMU.
  • Experience in chip and board bring-up.
