The Culinary Support Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen at Cafe 4 U. This position involves various tasks that contribute to the overall efficiency and cleanliness of the kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Accurately portion and wrap food items to maintain quality and presentation.
- Cooking Assistance: Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items under the guidance of the kitchen staff.
- Sanitation: Clean and sanitize all kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment to ensure a safe cooking environment.
- Waste Management: Efficiently remove kitchen garbage and trash to maintain cleanliness.
- Floor Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to uphold hygiene standards.
- Vegetable and Fruit Preparation: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits as required for meal preparation.
This is a permanent position requiring 30 to 40 hours of work per week. The primary language of communication in this role is English.
