About the Job

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Bus Driver to join our team at School District #62 (Sooke). As a Bus Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe transportation of students to and from school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a bus in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to route schedules and traffic laws.
  • Deal with passengers in a firm, yet diplomatic, manner, promoting a positive and respectful environment.
  • Conduct regular bus checks and report any necessary repairs to the Transportation Supervisor.
  • Clean the bus as required, maintaining a clean and safe environment for passengers.
  • Drive regular bus routes as required, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
  • Conform to the Motor Vehicle Act and Regulations, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • May have the opportunity to drive extra bus runs, providing additional support to the transportation team.
Requirements
  • Completion of Secondary School.
  • Holder of a valid Class 2 BC Driver's Licence, with air brake endorsement.
  • Completion of Occupational First Aid Level 1 (or willingness to obtain).
  • Up to three months of related experience.
