Job Title: Bus Driver

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Bus Driver to join our team at School District #62 (Sooke). The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting students to and from school in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a bus in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to route schedules and traffic laws.
  • Deal with passengers in a firm, yet diplomatic, manner.
  • Check the bus as required and report any necessary repairs to the Transportation Supervisor.
  • Clean the bus as required.
  • Conform with the Motor Vehicle Act and Regulations.
Requirements:
  • Secondary school graduation.
  • Holder of a valid Class II B.C. Driver's License, with air brake endorsement.
  • Must be willing to obtain a valid First Aid Certificate.
  • Experience with transporting students an asset.
  • Minimum of one month experience driving a Class 1 or 2 vehicle with air.
