The Wohl Group is a leading organization in the aerospace industry, and we are seeking a highly skilled Methods Planner to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to coordinate the planning and execution of manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing production data, determining optimal manufacturing methods, and ensuring compliance with engineering and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Production Planning: Analyze production data to determine the best manufacturing methods and shop flow for assemblies, composites, machining, and sheet metal fabrication.
  2. Document Control: Prepare and control all planning documents for shop use, including tool orders, item masters, and documentation control.
  3. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all engineering and customer specifications, including material finishes, processing, and quality requirements, are met and controlled.
  4. Configuration Control: Assure configuration control to contract.
  5. Estimating: Estimate costs for new assemblies, composites, and manufacturing using an engineering model.
  6. Subcontractor Management: Obtain cost and material estimates from subcontractors.
  7. Data Collection: Collect and compile operational or sample data to assist in the development of estimates, schedules, specifications, and reports.
  8. Reporting: Prepare cost and material estimates, project schedules, and reports.
  9. Process Improvement: Design, develop, and conduct time studies and work improvement programs.
  10. Manufacturing Procedures: Develop and carry out work study and related programs.
  11. Integrated Manufacturing: Develop integrated manufacturing procedures.
  12. Collaboration: Work directly with the shop floor and various departments.
  13. Facility Coordination: Visit other facilities to coordinate work and assist fabrication.

Requirements

  • Education: Equivalent 4 years high school or Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
  • Experience: On-the-job experience for 3 to 5 years.
  • Certifications: Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering certificate/degree would be an asset.

Work Schedule

  • Shift: 8 hour shift.
  • Days: Monday to Friday.
