Job Title: System and Network Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled System and Network Analyst to join our team at BeachHead Inc. This role requires a strong understanding of network performance and capacity planning, as well as excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor network performance and capacity, analyzing data to ensure optimal utilization of network infrastructure.
  • Perform performance and capacity planning, monitoring, analysis, recommendation, and tracking/reporting for the existing network and its elements.
  • Support complex application performance-related incidents and contribute to high-priority enterprise incidents.
  • Work with network and client architects to stay on top of network plans and projects, planning and assisting in preparing the network for new projects.
  • Monitor network capacity issues proactively, reporting and remedying them before a real incident.
  • Provide consulting on testing new technology from a capacity standpoint and develop KPIs, thresholds, and procedures for monitoring, alerting, and reporting.
  • Analyze packet traces to understand application flows and derive issues related to network capacity, making recommendations for optimal use of the network.
  • Maintain detailed growth models for each Line of Business based on assimilated knowledge around current and upcoming projects, projecting up to 5 years into the future.
  • Customize and deliver client reporting as well as internal reporting necessary for engineering and planning purposes.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience in network support.
  • Strong understanding of network firewalls and firewall rules.
  • Experience in troubleshooting/maintenance of network devices such as CISCO switches and routers.
  • CCNP - Cisco Certified Network Professional.
