The organization is dedicated to fostering a rich academic environment, promoting innovation and collaboration across various disciplines. The IT team is integral in supporting faculty and administrative operations through effective technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administering server setups, virtual environments, and complex web services.
- Documenting and planning systems and web services to accurately represent the current hardware/software/database architecture.
- Proactively measuring and monitoring systems and web services to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security.
- Installing software, conducting OS updates, and advising on hardware refresh cycles while maintaining secure web hosting infrastructure.
- Providing tier 2 technical support to IT professionals regarding systems-related issues.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, along with relevant certifications.
- A minimum of five years of experience in a diverse computing environment.
- Extensive experience with Unix/Linux, OS/X, Windows servers, and various internet services.
- Hands-on experience in web services design, implementation, and administration.
- Proficiency in assessing and implementing security protocols for web servers.
