About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Journeyperson Electrician to join our team at OZZ Electric BC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing electrical equipment, connecting wiring, and terminating wiring in generators, transfer switches, and junction devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install electrical equipment based on blueprints and in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code specifications
  • Connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment
  • Terminate wiring in generators, transfer switches, and junction devices
  • Observe functions of installed equipment to detect hazards and the need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement
  • Test continuity of circuits to ensure integrity and safety

Requirements

  • Journeyperson Electrician ticket (Red Seal an asset)
  • Experience working on high-rise and/or commercial new construction projects
  • Good knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and local requirements
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Field Safety Representative ticket is an asset

Working Conditions

  • Work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Typical 5-day work week; overtime may be required to meet construction deadlines
  • Local work in the lower mainland
