Position Overview

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of College or CEGEP program in Early Childhood Education
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute child-care initiatives that promote holistic development.
  • Oversee and mentor staff, trainees, and volunteers to ensure high-quality care.
  • Facilitate engaging activities, including storytelling, music, and excursions.
  • Manage inventory of supplies and equipment necessary for child-care activities.
  • Support children in developing healthy habits related to nutrition, dressing, and hygiene.
  • Monitor children for any signs of learning or behavioral challenges and document findings for stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Organize and lead activities for school-aged children during non-school hours.
  • Coordinate and supervise the activities of other early childhood educators and assistants.
Qualifications and Certifications
  • Must possess a Child Development Worker certification (ECE level 2).
Work Environment

This role requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, ensuring a dynamic work atmosphere.
