Job Title: Social Services Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Social Services Worker to join our team at CIUSSS de l'Estrie-CHUS. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support and services to individuals and families in need.

Work Environment

Our team works in a variety of settings, including group homes, drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers, and government departments. You will have the opportunity to work with diverse populations and develop your skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess client needs and develop personalized support plans
  • Provide counseling and therapy services to individuals and groups
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Develop and implement rehabilitation programs to support clients in achieving their goals
  • Supervise and support clients in their daily lives, including medication management and daily living skills
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families on topics such as mental health, substance abuse, and healthy living
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. social work, psychology, nursing)
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations (e.g. children, youth, adults with mental health or addiction issues)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
