Job Overview:

Lehigh Hanson is in search of a dedicated, safety-conscious, and reliable Millwright to enhance our operational team. In this role, you will oversee preventative maintenance and repair tasks on all mechanical equipment at the site, ensuring the facility operates efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, repair, and replace mechanical systems and related equipment.
  • Conduct field inspections to ensure safe and proper equipment operation.
  • Identify and troubleshoot irregularities, responding promptly to malfunctions.
  • Anticipate potential issues and propose improvements.
  • Utilize machining tools to fabricate necessary parts.
  • Execute preventative maintenance on all mechanical equipment at the site.
  • Refer to manufacturer manuals to determine appropriate maintenance procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety and environmental regulations, as well as company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Valid interprovincial or Red Seal Millwright certification.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics, drawings, and blueprints.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and technical proficiency.
  • Proficient in computer applications relevant to the role.
  • Physical capability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy loads, occasionally exceeding 75 lbs.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, kneeling, bending, and working at heights.
