As a District Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the overall functionality and performance of all outlets within your designated area, acting as a crucial link between your locations and the corporate office. Your leadership will foster a culture of ownership and accountability, essential for the success of your district. This role is vital in implementing both long-term and short-term strategies aimed at enhancing sales, profitability, and growth.
In this position, an entrepreneurial mindset, robust leadership skills, exceptional time management, and outstanding people management capabilities are required. Building trust with your teams, leading by example, appreciating diverse perspectives, and effectively managing conflicts will be key components of your success.
A District Operations Supervisor oversees 10 or more locations, with the specific stores under your management subject to change based on the company's requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact between the corporate office and various store locations through regular visits, ensuring engagement and support.
- Collaborate with management to provide insights and recommendations aimed at increasing market share, enhancing customer experience, and driving overall growth.
- Analyze business trends across the district, formulating and executing strategies to maximize sales and achieve or surpass all Key Performance Indicators, including sales, wage management, expense control, and store contributions.
- Motivate team members to engage in achieving sales targets, contests, and other incentives by promoting understanding of promotions, product knowledge, and customer service excellence.
- Safeguard confidential information, including store sales data, employee performance metrics, compensation details, and company strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company standards across all locations by thoroughly understanding and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits of employee transactions to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
- Manage scheduling and staffing levels to align with sales performance, avoiding overstaffing or understaffing scenarios.
- Oversee the hiring process, aiming to reduce employee turnover and manage compensation in partnership with the Human Resources department.
- Foster a positive work environment by nurturing team members' potential, addressing areas for improvement, and employing conflict resolution strategies.
- Provide comprehensive feedback and performance reviews for employees, including issuing warnings and collaborating with HR on employee satisfaction and engagement strategies.
- Conduct annual Store Performance Assessments (SPA) to communicate expectations and follow up as necessary for stores needing additional support.
- Develop and maintain a strong team of motivated store managers who will drive sales and meet store objectives, delegating store-specific tasks as appropriate.
- Make informed decisions to address issues promptly and effectively.
- Act as the first point of contact for incidents such as theft, coordinating necessary follow-up actions.
- Ensure new stores are established according to company standards and manage logistics for new locations, including regular maintenance and repairs.
- Take ownership of tasks and requests, ensuring follow-through and effective communication, delegating to the Assistant District Manager when necessary.
- Collaborate with fellow District Managers to support mutual growth and overall store success.
- Participate in sales and management training sessions as directed by upper management.
- Fulfill responsibilities of other positions as needed and perform additional duties as required.
