Diesel Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at SOUTHVIEW TRUCKING LTD. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and inspect diesel engines to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment
  • Order parts and maintain inventory
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in diesel engine repair
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Welding experience
  • Ability to work outdoors in dusty conditions
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads
Work Environment:
