About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Restaurant Cook to join our team at ONE SUSHI. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Assist in planning and executing menu items, including determining portion sizes and costs.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records of food, supplies, and equipment, and order supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a kitchen environment.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
