Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Relief Learning Support Specialist to join our team at School District #91 (Nechako Lakes). As a key member of our educational support team, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide individualized support to students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers and other professionals in delivering regular or alternate programs to students with special needs.
  • Provide individualized support to students, promoting their academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement strategies to support students with diverse learning needs.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate)
  • Completion of an Education Assistant Certificate program
  • BC driver's license - Class 5 Full Privileged and an exemplary driving record/current driver's abstract
  • 6 months of experience working with children/youth who have intellectual/behavioral or multiple disabilities
  • WHMIS 2015 Certificate and familiarity with WorkSafeBC safety procedures
