About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Linamar Corporation. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and direct engineering projects, including project origination, testing, and implementation.
- Ensure that organization standards, procedures, and work processes are followed, and that all projects meet the required quality and compliance standards.
- Work with other engineering departments to coordinate their contributions to project development.
- Track data for performance and maintenance parameters using maintenance tracking programs.
- Determine materials and equipment to use for projects and decide on applicable codes and standards.
- Interact with supervisors, managers, and other team members to discuss work updates and provide advice.
- Coordinate and integrate work within teams of engineers and technicians to work on common projects.
- Assume project management roles to coordinate the involvement of other engineers, contractors, technicians, and suppliers.
Requirements
- Graduate of mechanical and/or industrial engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years machine shop experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
- Experience in robotic automation, mechatronics an asset.
- Knowledge of SPC methods, process and machine capability requirements, and lot control techniques.
- Knowledge of LPS and LPS tools, TS 16949, and related procedures.
- Experience with statistical analysis software and computer-assisted design, manufacturing, and machining.
