We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at 1077096 Ontario Ltd. as a Manufacturing Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machine tools and equipment to produce high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and Maintain Machine Tools
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to ensure accurate production.
- Repair and maintain machine tools and parts to ensure optimal performance.
- Set up and adjust production machinery and tools to meet quality and productivity standards.
- Inspect and Test Products
- Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
- Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
- Work in a Fast-Paced Environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Meet tight deadlines and handle repetitive tasks with attention to detail.
- Education and Experience
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 5 years or more of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Equipment and Machinery Experience
- Automatic lathes.
- Drill presses.
- Engine lathes.
- Milling machines.
- Sawing machine.
- Surface grinders.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
