Job Title: Maintenance Person

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Maintenance Person to join our team at Executive Residency by Best Western. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel and resort.

Responsibilities:
  • Housekeeping: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs, and operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, and debris.
  • Maintenance: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Security and Safety: Perform safety and security checks, and ensure that all areas of the hotel and resort are secure and safe for guests and staff.
  • Other Duties: Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures, clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas, and perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: MS Outlook.
  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check and basic security clearance.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling, fast-paced environment, attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, and walking, large workload, and tight deadlines.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, initiative, organized, efficient interpersonal skills, team player, values and ethics, and punctuality.
