Job Title: MIG Welder

We are seeking a skilled MIG welder to join our team at Britespan Building Systems Inc. as a key member of our fabrication department.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products. This includes interpreting welding process specifications, reading and interpreting welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes, and examining welds to ensure they meet standards and/or specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Interpret welding process specifications and read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes.
  • Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Start up, shut down, adjust and monitor robotic welding production line.
  • Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • No degree, certificate or diploma required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Physically demanding work requiring handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail required.
  • Ability to work with steel, iron and heavy metals.
