Position Overview:

As a Registered Primary Care Paramedic, you will be responsible for the safe transport of patients who are ill or injured, providing critical care during emergencies and inter-facility transfers. This role involves operating emergency vehicles, assessing situations, and delivering essential medical services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments of emergency scenes and patients to determine necessary medical interventions.
  • Administer basic life support (BLS) and other minor medical treatments as required.
  • Lead a team in delivering clinical care during patient transport and at emergency scenes.
  • Ensure that emergency vehicles are fully stocked and equipped to provide optimal care.

Qualifications:

  1. Completion of an accredited Primary Care Paramedic program.
  2. Active registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics (ACP) as a Primary Care Paramedic.
  3. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
  4. Possession of a valid Class 4 Alberta Operator's Licence with a clean driving record.
  5. Successful completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test within the specified timeframe.

Additional Information:

This position may require working various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and on-call duties. The role is classified under the HSAA Facility PROF/TECH union and offers a competitive salary range.
