Role Overview:The IT Infrastructure Manager is pivotal in ensuring that our technological framework aligns with the organization's objectives, providing a secure and reliable environment for our operations. This role collaborates closely with the IT team to maintain and enhance the systems and technologies that underpin our business processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the design, management, and implementation of IT infrastructure, including servers and networks.
- Administer physical servers and virtualization technologies (VMWare and Hyper-V).
- Manage server operating systems, primarily focusing on Windows and some Linux environments.
- Supervise server storage systems and network configurations, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, routers, switches, and Wi-Fi.
- Configure and manage Active Directory within a Microsoft 365 environment.
- Ensure the integrity and functionality of the M365 email system.
- Collaborate with external vendors and internal teams to enhance IT security measures.
- Implement and manage telecommunication systems across various locations.
- Participate in diverse IT projects aimed at improving infrastructure and services.
- Evaluate and recommend hardware and software upgrades, planning for future infrastructure needs.
- Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Create and update documentation for systems and networks.
- Ensure compliance with standards and procedures for IT asset management.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts effectively.
- At least 5 years of experience in managing IT infrastructure.
- Comprehensive knowledge of various IT systems, hardware, and software.
- Proven experience in leading IT infrastructure projects.
- Experience in mentoring and guiding technical staff.
- Strong planning and organizational skills to manage projects and daily operations.
- Solid understanding of virtualization technologies (VMWare and Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with network and security monitoring tools.
- Experience with Storage Area Networks (iSCSI and Fiber Channel).
- Knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with team leaders and users at all levels.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A commitment to continuous learning and adapting to new technologies.
The selected candidate must be available for on-call support during evenings and weekends on a rotating basis. Travel to various locations may be required as part of the role.
