Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Plumber to join our team at the Cenovus Sunrise Site. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining piping systems for our camp dorm renovation project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine piping layouts.
  • Install underground polyethylene pipe, above ground carbon steel pipe, fittings, pressure gauges, PCV's, PSV's, and pipe supports.
  • Ensure compliance with current safety regulations, requirements, and training for NG systems.
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections and passage holes in walls.
  • Measure and cut pipes using hand and power tools.
  • Thread pipe and join pipes using couplings.
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
  • Prepare cost estimates and receive and complete work orders.
Requirements
  • Red Seal or Alberta certified Journeyman Plumber certificate is required.
  • Journeyman Gas Fitter Class A or B is an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License is required.
  • CSTS and OSSA Regional Orientation or OSSA BSO (Basic Safety Orientation before December 31, 2018) or CSO (Common Safety Orientation after January 1, 2019) certification.
  • Proficiency in threading techniques and ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Minimum three years of experience in an oilfield industrial environment.
  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and thorough knowledge of plumbing system installation and repairs.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a work team and safety conscious attitude.
