About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Activity Aide to join our team at the Northern Regional Health Authority. As an Activity Aide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning and implementing activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Training
    • Ensure that all residents receive education and training to enhance their skills and abilities.
  • Work Setting
    • Work in a hospital or home for the aged setting, providing care and support to residents.
  • Tasks and Responsibilities
    • Maintain supplies and inventory of equipment to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
    • Assist with daily tasks and responsibilities, such as maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Computer and Technology Skills
    • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
  • Security and Safety
    • Undergo a criminal record check to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
    • Work in a fast-paced environment, requiring a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
    • Perform tasks that require manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Accurate and reliable, with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
