About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Taper to join our team at Marvel Drywall & Framing Ltd. As a Drywall Taper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth installation of drywall sheets and the application of plaster finishes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and ensure accurate installation.
  • Drywall Installation: Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to meet project specifications.
  • Plaster Finishing: Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Surface Preparation: Clean and prepare surfaces for drywall installation and plaster finishing.
  • Joint Compound Application: Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Estimate and Order Materials: Estimate costs and materials required for projects and ensure timely ordering.
Work Environment

As a Drywall Taper, you will work in a fast-paced commercial environment with varying locations. You will be exposed to dusty and noisy conditions, and you must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week.
