Senior Animation Software Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Animation Software Engineer to join our team at Electronic Arts. As a key member of our animation team, you will be responsible for developing in-game animation features, including animation tools and pipelines, and improving existing animation systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the animation team to design and implement new animation systems and improve existing ones.
- Integrate new animation technologies from our proprietary engine into our games.
- Take ownership of in-game gameplay features, ensuring they are developed and implemented to the highest standards.
- Make recommendations to improve animation tools and pipelines, and optimize animator workflows.
- Support animators by debugging animation tools and helping to unblock them.
- Mentor other engineering team members to ensure knowledge sharing and skill development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- 5+ years of software development experience in the game industry.
- Experience with real-time animation middleware or equivalent custom/in-house solutions, animation compression, and advanced animation memory management.
- Excellent 3D math skills and programming experience in C++ and C#.
- Ability to write clear, maintainable, and portable code.
