About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and caring Nanny to join our team at Sara Slavin. As a Nanny, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care and supervision to our children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met.

Responsibilities
  • Assume full responsibility for household duties in the absence of parents, including meal preparation, laundry, and cleaning.
  • Travel with the family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.
  • Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Discipline children according to the parents' requested methods, promoting positive behavior and social development.
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social skills, keeping records of daily activities and health information.
  • Organize activities, such as games and outings, to promote cognitive and physical development.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, ensuring the children's dietary needs are met.
  • Prepare children for rest periods, maintaining a consistent sleep schedule.
  • Supervise and care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Take children to and from school and to appointments, promoting a sense of routine and responsibility.
  • Assist children with homework, fostering a love of learning and academic achievement.
Requirements
  • CPR and First Aid Certificates, ensuring the children's safety in emergency situations.
  • A criminal record check, verifying your suitability for working with children.
  • Excellent oral communication skills, enabling effective communication with parents and children.
  • Flexibility, initiative, and judgement, allowing you to adapt to changing situations and make informed decisions.
  • Organized and reliable, ensuring the smooth operation of the household and the children's daily routines.
  • Patience and honesty, essential qualities for building trust with the children and their parents.
Work Environment

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in childcare, with a strong commitment to providing exceptional care and support to our children. You will work 40 hours per week, with opportunities for professional growth and development within our team at Sara Slavin.
